an e-mail to your friend to tell him/her about your academic career Hey [Friend's Name], I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share some exciting news about my academic career. I recently joined the school band as a guitarist, and last week we had a rock competition with bands from local high schools. Guess what? My band won! It was such an incredible experience. Although we may not have looked like adult professional bands, the quality of our playing was amazing. We were all used to performing in competitions, so we really brought our A-game. What was even more impressive was that players from each band even created new tunes right there on stage. It was so exciting to watch! Our band at school is really great, but not everyone who wants to play in it gets accepted. Only about half of the applicants make it. However, anyone who's keen to play goes to rock practice before school, and we often spend time together after school, listening to music and learning its language. It's a lot of fun! I've also had the opportunity to attend jazz summer camps across the country. I've been to a couple of them, and I've learned so much. It's amazing how much you can grow as a musician in those camps. It's funny how adults are often surprised by the talent and dedication of young musicians like us. But hey, we're proving them wrong! I can't wait to catch up with you soon and tell you more about my musical journey. Let me know when you're free. Take care! [Your Name]people are getting interested in live music. My music teacher thinks it's because pop music isn't challenging enough for people like me who are serious about music. But I find it exciting because you can create your own music, but you also feel you're part of its history, as you're playing on stage in the same way as great jazz performers before you. My school's really lucky because we have great teachers, and parents who've supported us all the way. Without them, we'd never get anywhere with our music! The environment is controlled through mental organizations called schemes that each individual uses to represent the world and designate action. This adaptation is driven by a biological drive, that is a strong and natural need, in order to get balance between schemes and the environment. Piaget hypothesized that infants are born with schemes operating at birth that he called 'reflexes'. In other animals, these reflexes control behaviour throughout life. However, in human beings as the infant uses these reflexes to adapt to the environment, these reflexes are quickly replaced with constructed schemes. Piaget described two processes used by the individual to adapt (to the environment): assimilation and accommodation. These two processes are involved during a person's lifetime and the more an individual tries to adapt to the environment, the more the processes become complicated. Assimilation is the process of using or transforming the environment so that it can be adapted.
Drug abuse
The use of chemicals to alter the way we feel and see things is one of the oldest activities of the human race. But a person's use of a drug such as tobacco, alcohol, cannabis or heroin can get uncontrolled, or start to control them. Even when the use of drugs leads to serious physical and mental problems, the person using may still not want to stop. If they do decide to give up, they may then find it is much harder than they thought. There are a lot of bewildering different words used to describe drug use and addiction problems. Not every expert will agree with the definitions here, but being consistent about the terms used helps to reduce the confusion and anxiety everyone feels when faced with this problem. Each drug has different patterns of such as use,
Intoxication, overdose, and hangover. For each different drug, the term 'substance abuse' can cover different levels of use, including experimenting with use, bingeing, using large amounts without appearing intoxicated, and using large amounts to get intoxicated. People can use a substance for more than one of the above reasons, and they may also use several drugs for different reasons.
Explaining why a person uses drugs is rarely an easy task, but most people use a drug because they enjoy the effects. This may seem like a simplistic or insensitive statement, but it is easily forgotten by the people around the drug user, who are concerned for their wellbeing. Worried parents often ask for telltale signs of drug use, but the simple answer is that it is very hard to spot. Many users who have contact with mental health services manage to conceal their use from mental health professionals, so it is obviously difficult to identify. Parents usually know their children better than anyone.

Although it should be emphasized that the “Hollywood effect” may tend to over/underexaggerate the symptoms and behaviours experienced by many individualswith the disorders the films portray, many Hollywood movies demonstrate a textbook example ofthe disorder(s). For instance, in Mr. Jones, Gere accuratelyportrayed a high-functioning, creative, and intellectual man with bipolar disorder. The movie was not a commercial success, butwas well-received by the mentalhealth community. It is frequently used as a training tool to acquaint students and families with the disorder. The “Hollywood effect” can certainly providematerial for interesting discussion and, attimes produces extra learning material. In the case of Mr. Jones, the “Hollywood effect” is achieved by augmenting thestory about Mr. Jones, a man with bipolar disorder, with a romance between Mr. Jones.
and his female psychiatrist. The psychiatrist loses her professional objectivity and keeps information from Mr. Jones about the search for him by a woman he had dated, violates Mr. Jones‟ trust and confidentiality by pursuing his ex-girlfriend without Mr. Jones‟ permission and, lastly, by sleeping with Mr. Jones. Thus, this added romance to augment a story about bipolar disorder provides an opportunity to discuss the professional codes of ethics regarding sexual relationships with patients, dual relationships between practitioners and patients, patient-client confidentiality and the HIPAA regulations.
