LEZIONE 1
In the first part we talk about of three rules of the initials.
The first is about the verb “goes” that we can write like an “G” uppercase and a “z” lowercase, because “I
es” of the third person it is reads with the pronunciation of the “z”.
The second is about the past form of the verb.
The third is about the comparative, for exemple the phrase “It is bigger” we write with the “ai-I-B”
uppercase that refers to a word, and with an “r” lowercase that indicates that it is part of the whole word.
Then he explains the transition from passive to active form; in the passive form the child says the numbers
to indicate the chunks of the phrase, while in the active form the teacher says the numbers and children
have to say what it refers to.
The reason why we should do these exercise is because the big problems in English are spelling and
pronuounce. “Memory” is an example of a game to do.
1) The auxiliary “do” is very important/auriliari
2) The pencils stand for/represent
3) Nothing else/other or nothingelse
4) Doesn’t have/don’t
5) On the student’s desk/In the desk of the student
6) An Italian translation doesn’t exist/a translation in italian
7) Children can’t repeat the same words/childs don’t have to
8) Because children might not understand/because maybe
9) Children have to train/the children
1) Elba is an island in Tuscany: E-I-An-ailend-I-T
2) Who is your best friend?: Wo-I-Y-B-frend?
3) Have you ever seen a castle in Germany?: H-Y-E-S-A-kassol-I-G?

5) Do you use headphone to listen to music?: D-Y-U-H-Pz-T-listn-T-M?
6) Can I borrow your knife?: C-I-B-Y-naif?
7) Answer the questions: Ansuer-T-Q
8) The day before yesterday was Wednesday: T-D-B-Y-w-uensdei
9) Where is the chalk n the cupboard?: W-I-T-chak-I-T-cabord?
Sono d’accordo con ciò che hai detto sull’intelligenza. Poi credo che questo metodo sia adatto ad attirare
l’attenzione del bambino: essere brevi e concentrarsi sulla pronuncia piuttosto che sullo spelling, e gli
esercizi attivi e passivi per far venir fuori la nostra familiarità.
I agree with what you said about intelligence.
Then I think that this method is suitable (sutabol ) for attracting the child's attention: being short and focus
on pronunciation rather than spelling, and active and passive exercises to make it come out our familiarity.
Thank you.

LEZIONE 2
In this video we talked about what is the best way to learn students words in English. It is important to
make sure that the kids are focused and, in this case, training is essential.
In the passive part the teacher uses words, chuncks, and sentences, while the child doesn’t use the mouth,
but his body, and through it the teacher receives the feedback.
Instead, in the active part, the teacher uses fingers, pencils, pictures cards.
However, the teacher must be very careful to not judge the child's pronunciation, and it’s for this that
silence is golden.
If in the passive part it was the teacher to speak, now the children have to do that! They can write the
words as they say in Italian or as they see them written.
Learning always follows a circular pattern that:
- becomes active from passive
- focuses attention on motivation
- trains the muscles of the mouth
- gradually becomes familiar
The main purpose is to get everyone talking and increase self-esteem.
In the "Twin Brother" game you have to draw a rectangle divided into 6 parts, and inside them draw for
example a biscuit, a boat, a castle, a guitar, the number eight and the yellow color; then the students have
to associated the figures to the exacly word on the right.
LEZIONE 3
In this exercise the teacher has to suggest to some children who come from Scotland some activities they
can do during the holiday.
Summer in Italy is very hot, and for this reason we can suggest to our kids to go to the swimming pool or go
to the sea, to play football, to drink an iced cola, to see a nice garden, to eat something together
As we have already said, the best method to (allao) allow children to understand everything the teacher is
saying is to use our body many times, and to spell the pronunciation well.
Moreover to explain the question "do you want to?" we have to put an X that refers to "do", we have to
move our arms to indicate "you want", and use two fingers for the word "to".
It is very important to pronounce "want" and "to" well because this sound is not separated, but a single
sound: so “want to”
We can use maims (mimes) and chunks to explain this question to the child.
APPUNTI VIDEO
The goal of the game is to make students learn new vocabularies and grammar, without really studying
them.
The name of the game is "the pencil in on the table" because pencils are used to teach it.
Simple phrase: “where do you have breakfast?”
Do (x): it doesn't has a real meaning in english, it's very important but there isn't a translation
5 words = 5 fingers to rapresents the words and 5 pencils on the desk
Passive familiarity part
5 pencils
Now let’s touch: when you are speaking and you are only touching and you are going in around the room
checking, touch “you”, and a kid touch the third pencil.
Active concentration part
We play to the "concentration" with 5 pencils: raise your hand, touch a pencil, don’t go in order, and say
what the pencil stands for (the pencils referes to the words of the phrase "where do you have breakfast?").
The goal of the game is to train to speak Italian.
5 words to a chunk
where / do / you / have breakfast
where / do you / have breakfast
where do you have breakfast?
Colour for grammar →
His book is next to the window: 7 words passive →
The book is a book of a boy, and the colour blue rapresents it from his to her: we eliminate the blue, and
we put the pink for her
his and is: pronunciation
From word to chunck: his book / is next to / the window
The game consists in drawing four pencils of different colors which refer to four different things.
I introduce four colour with a an pencil as the two word there are the same, and the colour in the middle
that changes.
"Yellow pencil" and you go in front of the sun on the board.
The fact they no the sun is not important, it can be passive.
This four things can be passive, it means they don’t have to know how to say them, but they have to know
that if you say the sun they say a yellow pencil: that’s is a problem solving.
They don’t know it, but you are doing grammar, it’s not important here, that they know this, but you are
training their mouth to say things correct, and you are giving them a chunk.
What do you do to get them to go from a / yellow / pencil to “a yellow pencil”.
You blow in the middle of the fingers to close it.
