Reported statements are introduced by:
-say + to + personal direct object or nothing
-tell + personal direct object
-ask
If the reporting verbs is in the present or future tense, the verbe tense in the reported statements doesn't change.
Modals:
can - > could
must - > had to
may - > might
shall → should

Relative clauses
Defining: contains information that is essential, there are no commas between the main and the relative clauses.
Non defining: contains information that is not essential, the relative clause is separated from the main clause with commas.
