Present simple, present continous, past simplr and past continous.
in this scheme all the present and past tenses of English are summarized with the basic training and uses.
there are also the exceptions of the single written forms of the verbs and the rules to remember.
Present simple
Uses: routing and general situation
Affirmative form: subject + verb to basic form
subject + verb to basic form + es (for third person)
Negative form: subject + don't or doesn't(for third person) + verb to basic form
Interrogative form: Do or does + subject + verb to basic form + ?
Exceptions of "es":
The verb to the and termination with -s,-ch,-o,-x or -z put -ies.
When the -y in the and the verb is preceded with vocal put -ys.
When the -y in the and the verb is preceded with consonant remove the -y and put -ies.
Present continuous
Uses: action to do in specific time, description and disappointment.
Affirmative form: subject + am/is/are + verb to basic form + ing
Negative form: subject + am/is/are + not + verb to basic form + ing
Interrogative form: Am/is/are + subject + verb to basic form + ing + ?
Exceptions of "ing":
The verb to the and have one vocal before the consonant we double the consonant and put ing.
When the -y in the and the verb is preceded with vocal put - ing.
When the -y in the and the verb is preceded with consonant remove the -y and put -ing.
Simple past
Uses: time on the action is finished and is offending is accompanied by time espection (example: ego,last,yesterday…)
Affirmative form: subject + verb to basic form + ed(for regular)
subject + irregular verb (second column)
Negative form: subject + did + not + verb to basic form
Interrogative form: Did + subject + verb to basic form + ?
Exceptions of "ed": they are like those of the "es" in the simple present .
Past continuous
Uses: describe an action in progress in a specific time in the past, to describe a story and when the action is interrotting in the past.
Affirmative form: subject + was(for third person)/were + verb to basic form + ing
Negative form: subject + was/were + not + verb to basic form + ing
Interrogative form: Was/were + subject + verb to basic form + ing?
Exceptions of "ing"": they are like those of the present continuous.
I think it is very easy to remember and memorize since I have made sure to make everything as clear and simple as possible, I hope it goes well and that it is useful for those who read it. Obviously I recommend printing it in order to add some more information or remove other unnecessary ones, good study.
