- The intense reactions to these fears include panic, fainting, and a strong desire to avoid situations that trigger these phobias.
Fears and Phobias
I'd be terrified if I saw a snake I could never go on a safari in a desert I'm really scared of insects and animals in general. I could even die If I saw a mouse in a garden, and I would be shocked if I found a spider or a beetle in my room! I don't know, what would I do if I had a house in the countryside? I probably wouldn't survive!
I don't mind animals and insects, but I do have my phobias. For example, I can't stand being in closed spaces.
On the contrary, I have the opposite problem! I can't stand open spaces, I really feel sick! If I'm in a place where I can see a lot of sky, I feel really bad. I need to live in the centre of a town surrounded by buildings. It may sound ridiculous, but it is like that, I feel safe with lots of people around. Even when I have to cross a wide space such as a big park or go for open routes in the mountains I have to try not to think about it, otherwise I start panicking!
