Music is one of my favorite passions, I have always been fascinated by the world of music and I have traveled around Italy quite a lot to see my favorite rock stars’concerts My passion for music began when I was only a child and I used to listen to music with my parents singing their favorite songs. When I started high school and met my friends I began to listen to rock music, I've never loved pop nor dance music and my teenage icons weren't actors or television stars, but rock stars.

I always wanted to follow my favorite rock stars but it wasn't so easy because I was too young for live gigs. But when I was eighteen ,I got my driving license and I started seeing my favorite groups live, at first I used to go only to Naples and later on I began to travel around Italy.
My favorite bands are: Pink Floyd, Beatles, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Smiths, Stone Roses, Oasis, Blur, Muse, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys and much more. Going to concerts for me is very important because you can feel the real spirit of the music and at the same time you are in real contact with the artists. When I go to a concert I stay free without thoughts and I have the opportunity to meet a lot of people. My first big concert was a Vasco Rossi concert in Rome at the Olympic Stadium. Vasco Rossi is an Italian rocker that I used to listen to when I was a teenager. It was a special moment, because we were in 30.000 people all singing together. After this first experience I started travelling around Italy to see other groups playing. I went to Florence for Oasis, twice in Milan for Roger Waters and Noel Gallagher; I also went to Rome for the Doors and Kasabian’s concert, and in Turin to see the Muse.
My best concert has been The Wall Live performed by Roger Waters, a Pink Floyd’s ex singer and leader, who (4) three years ago started an international tour where he played one of the best Pink Floyd’s album, The Wall. This was not a normal concert, it was a different concept and it was a real rock opera. The Wall was written by Roger Waters, when he was a Pink Floyd’s member. It talks about his traumas : the death of his father during the second world war, his mother’s oppression, the strict rules of British state schools and the isolation of the rock stars from the people and from reality. During the concert a real wall was on stage, which at the end was destroyed to symbolize the liberation from his traumas.-The next concert that (4) I’m going to see is the Arctic Monkeys’s and Blur’s concert in Rome on July. One of the problems concerning international concerts in Italy is the distance from here, the place where I live. The major part of the international concerts are in northern Italy and for me it’s not always easy to go. So, for this reason I can’t follow all my favorite rock stars and every year I have to choose which concerts I can go to.
If I were in north Italy I would go to lots of them . At same time I like to see Italian bands that I can see in Rome in little clubs and pubs.In the future I would like to see a concert in an European city, or in a typical British Rock Festival like Glanstobury’s or Edimburgh’s festival. Concerts in Great Britain are different from the ones in Italy, because here we don’t have festivals which go on for 3 or 4 days and the atmosphere is different. The concert that.
I want to see is the Oasis’s Reunion, they split in Paris in 2009 and in 2015 they should return together. I’m sure of that, because 2015 is the 20th anniversary of their first Album, “What’s the Story? Morning Glory”. In recent years we’ve had a lot of music reality shows on TV , which launched lots of new talents. I don’t like this method because I think that musicians have to play in the streets, in the pubs and in little clubs. They have to feel the audience and reality shows are only fake. The best world bands started playing in garages or in little clubs, like Nirvana, the Doors, Oasis etc. Last week I read an article on a music magazine where it says that in the last ten years the number of the people going to live concerts is growing . I think that in this period of crisis, where people don’t buy CDs as they prefer to download music illegally , concerts are a very important resource for the music business.
