When he returned to India in 1891, he realized that there weren’t opportunities for his profession and so he went to Africa to work for the Indian population who lived there. In Africa he knew social discrimination and so he decided to fight to improve the situation. In 1919 after the Amitsar massacre he began his campaign of non violent movement and so he was arrested and he was realized in 1924 and for 6 years he didn’t take part in politics. In 1930 he organized a non violent resistance against the salt taxes. In 1947 India became independent.
