PARTE 2 – ESSAY MODELLO (C1 – ROMA TRE)
Some people believe that technology makes life easier, while others think it
Topic:
creates more problems. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Essay (≈190 parole)
It is widely believed that modern technology has significantly improved people’s lives.
Digital tools allow individuals to work remotely, communicate instantly and access
information with ease. As a result, daily tasks can be completed more efficiently than
in the past.
However, others argue that technology also creates serious problems. Excessive
screen time may negatively affect mental health, while constant online connectivity
can increase stress levels. Moreover, many jobs are being replaced by automation,
which poses a threat to employment stability.
From a broader perspective, both views are valid. While technology undeniably offers
convenience, its long-term effects should not be underestimated. If used irresponsibly,
it may lead to social isolation and dependency.
In conclusion, although technology plays a key role in modern society, a balanced
approach is required. By raising awareness of its potential risks, individuals can benefit
from technological progress without suffering its negative consequences.
ESSAY MODELLO C1
Topic: Technology and employment
Essay question (tipica):
“Has technology had a positive or negative impact on employment?”
Essay (≈260–280 parole)
In recent years, there has been growing concern about the impact of technology on
employment. While technological innovation has transformed the labour market, its
overall effect remains the subject of considerable debate.
On the one hand, it can be argued that technology has had a negative impact on
employment by reducing the number of available jobs. Automation and artificial
intelligence have replaced many routine tasks, particularly in manufacturing and
administrative sectors. As a result, a significant number of workers risk becoming
unemployed or being forced to change careers. This is particularly problematic for
those with limited access to education or retraining opportunities.
On the other hand, technology has also created new and more interesting forms of
employment. Many modern jobs require creativity, problem-solving and digital skills,
rather than repetitive manual labour. Furthermore, technological advancement has led
to the emergence of entirely new industries, such as software development and digital
marketing. In this sense, technology does not simply eliminate jobs, but rather
reshapes the nature of work.
Nevertheless, it must be acknowledged that the modern workforce faces a constant
need to improve skills. Lifelong learning has become essential, as qualifications
quickly become outdated. Without proper support from governments and employers,
this transition may increase social inequality.
All things considered, while technology undoubtedly presents challenges for
employment, its long-term impact can be positive if accompanied by effective
education policies and retraining programmes.
