Comparative Adjectives

This city is dirtier than my town. The name of the structure is comparative of majority. We use comparative adjectives to show change or make comparisons. The comparative of one-syllable adjectives is formed by adding "er" to the adjective. If the adjective ends in consonant+y, change -y to -i and add -er. It is used to compare differences between the two objects they modify.
