We live in an age where cell phones have become an essential part of our daily lives. It
has become our constant companion, an extension of ourselves, and it often seems
like we can't do without it. However, more and more people are considering living
without cell phones or at least significantly reducing the time spent using them. I
never really thought about doing it but we must also consider that living without a cell
phone or limiting its use could help us improve our relationships, pay more attention
to the people around us and strengthen bonds with our relatives and friends. We
should definitely try it!
Describe one thing that is important in your culture. Why is it important?
I live in Palermo, a city with a thousand-year-old culture, characterized by a thousand
facets, a thousand contradictions. City of Phoenician origins, then dominated by the
Romans, Arabs, Normans and Swabians, it displays evidence of its glorious past
wherever you look. The Arab-Norman style blends with the Baroque and Liberty in a
mix of rare beauty, to be observed with surprise and wonder. This coastal metropolis,
among the largest in Europe, conquers with its colours, scents and flavors that
overwhelm the senses and enliven the streets. Decadent and sumptuous, ancient and
contemporary, authentic and yet enchanting: once you get to know Palermo it enters
your heart and will never leave it again.
Do you think there should be more celebrations? Why/Why not?
Yes, it's true! I think there should be more celebrations! In Palermo, however, there
are many celebrations, especially religious ones, which continue to be very heartfelt
and participatory.
Do you think that most parents influence what university their child will
attend?
I think, parents play an important role in guiding their children's educational choices.
Research indicates that parental influence is particularly evident, especially in the
choice of higher education and sometimes also in the choice of university path.
Do you think a vegetarian diet is healthy or not? Why?
According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, vegetarian diets, if properly
planned, can promote health. In particular, those who follow a vegetarian diet have a
reduced risk of getting certain clinical conditions, including ischemic heart disease,
type 2 diabetes, hypertension, some forms of cancer and obesity.
The recommendations of the World Cancer Research Fund, drawn up by a group of
experts in nutrition science and beyond, invite you to introduce plant-based foods into
your diet and to limit the consumption of red and preserved meats and processed
foods in general. (often rich in sugars, fats and salt) for the prevention of oncological
diseases. 2
The secret to a healthy and balanced diet lies above all in quantities: to reduce the
risk of getting sick it is not necessary to completely eliminate foods of animal origin
(such as milk and eggs, but also meat). It is certainly useful, however, to limit
consumption and increase the intake of fruit, vegetables and legumes.
Do you live a healthy lifestyle? What do you do to improve it?
Maintaining your health at its best is one of the life goals to carry out on a daily basis,
following a few small but effective rules to really live well.
First of all, adopt a varied diet rich in fruit and vegetables, with the right amount of
carbohydrates and sugars, giving up carbonated drinks and, instead, favoring water
and drinks such as freshly squeezed juices or concentrates.
Another important rule concerns physical activity. Sport and movement in general
must be a constant in life. At least two or three hours a week should be dedicated to
sporting activity, even if it just involves a regenerating walk. In this way it is possible
to keep fit but also prevent cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Sleeping well is really
very important. Sleeping little or not being able to sleep continuously causes a chain
of tiredness, headaches and stress. Finally, prevention is fundamental. Blood and urine
tests, and for women, mammography, can be a way to save your life. Never neglect
prevention because it is the latter that is the real cure. Following these simple rules
will lead your lifestyle to be active, healthy and balanced.

How would you describe culinary tourism?
Food and wine tourism is a journey aimed at discovering the food and wine of a
territory and through which the tourist can experience the local culture and acquire a
sense of place.
In recent years, food and wine has taken on a new centrality in tourism, transforming
from an accessory component in tourists' holidays to an element of interest and
incentive towards the discovery of new or already known destinations. Food and wine
has begun to be increasingly considered an important social component, a way to feel
good, have fun, experiment, be in company. In addition to its social and psychological
value, it has taken on the value of an instrument of cultural and anthropological
transformation. Food and wine are expressions of a territory, its inhabitants and its
traditions, fundamental characteristics of its identity. Knowing its origins, processes
and methods of production means discovering the territory, its historical, artistic and
social events, the life of the local people. In this sense, food and wine has begun to
take shape as a form of cultural experience

Negatives and positives about Johnson’s Dictionary
"Samuel Johnson was born in 1709 in Lichfield, Staffordshire. The son of a bookseller,
he became one of the greatest literary figures of the eighteenth century, the most
famous of which was the compilation of the Dictionary of the English Language. The
first edition of the Dictionary, which would be followed many others, appears in 1755
but, despite the considerable efforts made, Johnson is unable to stabilize or
standardize the English language, probably due to an incorrect approach to the
research which insists on the etymological side and on the Teutonic character of the
language when the the author does not possess the philological tools necessary to
carry out in-depth work in this sense. The Dictionary nevertheless remains a work of
high literary value, with its wealth of erudite quotations and its classificatory slant,
also meeting the favor of the public of the time.
Pattern: There are many types of notes that allow for a lot of creativity. For example:
Spidergram (mind map) - table - flowchart - tree diagram
We need to choose the method that works best for us and the type of information we
are trying to acquire. In summary, the goal of note-taking is to capture the most
important information in a way that makes sense to us and helps us remember it later.

sustainability, in the sense that development must take place without damaging the
ecosystem, combating pollution due for example to indu
