-Be going to -> - intenzione di compiere un’azione es. quando i progetti futuri non sono ancora stati pianificati definitivamente (solo intenzione) frase: “I’m going to go to university”
- previsioni basate su fatti disponibili al momento es. equivale all’italiano “stare per” (perifrastica attiva latina) frase: “It’s going to rain”
-Will future -> - azioni che avverranno sicuramente indipendentemente dalla nostra volontà frase: “In five years’ time, I will be 22”
- previsioni future basate su ipotesi frase: “I’ll probably feel too old to enjoy my retirement” *con verbi come think/belive/hope/expect/suppose/be sure + avverbi come perhaps e probably
- promesse o richieste frase: “Will you make me a cup of tea, please?”
- offrirsi di fare qualcosa frase: “I’ll bring a slice of cake for you”

Futuri dell’incertezza: future continuous/progressivo, future perfect, future in the past
-Future continuous 1(will + be + -ing) -> -azione che si starà svolgendo in un determinato momento futuro es. cosa staremo facendo domani a quest’ora (STARE + GERUNDIO) frase: “I hope I won’t be doing the same job I do now” *spesso accompagnato da at two o’clock tomorrow, this time tomorrow, in a month’s time, soon, shortly
- descrivere un evento futuro come fosse già in corso(FUTURO SEMPLICE) frase: “We will shortly be landing”
- domandare in modo cortese i suoi programmi futuri(FUTURO SEMPLICE) frase: “Will you be leaving shortly?”
