The reforms were never

Ahmed Riza was the ONLY Turkish senator
NOT to vote in favour of these laws...
«It’s illegal to define the Armenians’ goods as ‘abandoned
goods’ since they haven’t abandoned them by their will. They
have been removed with force by their homes and exiled. If
we live in a constitutional regime that respects law, we
cannot act this way. This act is disgusting.»
Ahmed Riza, during a debate in the Turkish Senate
(November 1915)
Around 1.500.000 people were
killed
In the Syrian desert, people would die dehydrated. Those who stopped
walking were killed immediatly by the armed turkish forces;
Women were raped. Pregnant women were killed by ripping the embryos out
of their wombs;
Many were crucifixed for not converting to Islam;
Tens of thousands were thrown off cliffs at once into rivers to drown;
Little children who were not killed, were converted to Islam. Their names
were changed and they were grown up as turks, without ever knowing their
origins;
Mass burnings killed tens of thousands.
