The four most important priorities of Obama's presidential campaign were:ending the war in Iraq,resolving important America's economic crisis,increasing energy independence and providing universal health care to all the Americans. On November 4th,2008, he won the elections with a crushing victory over the Republican Candidate, John McCain, and became the 44th President of the USA and the country's first African-American President. It was an extraordinary moment in America's history. When Obama wa born,people with his skin color could not where vote in parts of America,and many were killed for trying. On the day of his election Obama told 12,000 supports "Because f what we did on this day,in this election, in this defining moment,change has come to America".
