Walking through the streets of Rome, its streets, squares and walk along admiring its views also its history. DAY 1. th
APRIL 10
In the morning with a guide it starts from the Colosseum, 2000 years of
history and this monument is still the symbol of Rome par excellence. A short
walk from the Colosseum, on the right, is the Arch of Constantine the most
famous Roman triumphal arch and a little further on the Palatine. Continuing
on Via dei Fori Imperiali you will arrive at the ancient Roman Forum square in
Rome, while on the other side of the road
you can appreciate the area of the Imperial
Forums.
A little further down, after Via dei Fori
Imperiali and Piazza Venezia, you reach
Piazza del Campidoglio, the municipal
center of the institution since the twelfth
century. From the beautiful square designed by Michelangelo you can access
the beautiful Capitoline Museums, the oldest in the world.
Coming down from the Capitol, you can easily reach, through Via del Corso,
the Pantheon, one of the most impressive
architectural masterpieces of all time, an
ancient temple dedicated to all gods.
Not far from the Pantheon, in the direction of
the Tiber River are one of the most
spectacular squares of Baroque Rome: Piazza
Navona. The square took on its present
appearance in the Baroque period with the
Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini, the Church of St. Agnes in Agone and
Palazzo Pamphili.
Going back to Via del Corso are: the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
Spanish Steps, however, located in one of the most elegant and exclusive
areas of the historical center, will enchant you with its majestic staircase,
designed in 1700 by Francesco De Sanctis.
DAY 2 th
APRIL 11
The second day of our itinerary starts with
the Vatican City, with the splendid Basilica of
Saint Peter dominating the visitor's gaze from
the beginning of Via della Conciliazione. Also
visit the Vatican Museums and their immense
wealth of art, the result of centuries of papal
collections and commissions.
Along Via della Conciliazione leads to Castel Sant'Angelo, the fortress of the
popes built in the Middle
Ages on the remains of the
tomb of Emperor Hadrian (II
sec.d.C). From here we
continue towards the
Trastevere area, ideal for a
walk through narrow streets,
squares and colors that still
maintain an authentically
Roman character. Trastevere
offers a great variety of
restaurants and places to stop for a fun evening.
DAY 3 th
APRIL 12
EXCURSION OUT OF TOWN . Tour the excavations
of Ostia, a unique opportunity to complete the image
of the ancient city and know the aspect of daily life, otherwise difficult to
identify among the great public monuments of the capital.On the way back
from Ostia Antica, you can get off at one of the stops before Porta San Paolo
for a walk in the EUR, to discover the modern side of the city, where you can
feel a surreal and metaphysical only.From here, by moving to the Ostiense
