The Twin Towers were the most

important towers in the state of New

York. On September 11, 2001, Islamist

terrorist hijacked America Airlines Flight

11 and crashed it into the northern

facade of the North Tower.

Seventeen minutes later a second

airplane crashed into the façade of the

South Tower.
