When Hamlet’s father, the king of Denmark died, his uncle Claudius come to the throne and, married his mother Gertrude. During a night, Hamlet met his father’s ghost who asked him that he was murdered by his brother Claudius. So, Hamlet arranged a play about a similar fratricide, called “The Murder of Gonzago” in front of Claudius, to see his reaction who went out the room furious. During the scene, suddenly he heard a noise behind the curtain and killed the intruder or rather Polonius the king’s counsellor thinking it was Claudius.
Then, Laertes, Polonius’ son decided to avenge his father in a duel arranged by Claudius in which both Laertes and Hamlet will remain victims of Claudius’s pit. So, they die, but Hamlet before to die kills his uncle Claudius and his mother Gertrude drinks a poison
