Letter of Job Application
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have seen your advertisement in a newspaper for a job at an American summer camp and I would like to apply.
I am nineteen years old and I will be starting university at the end of the summer, but I intend to take the summer off before that. I thought about going to the United States to learn as much as possible about the American way of life and to pratice my English skills. Combining learning opportunities with a working experience would be the best solution and your offer would be the best opportunity for me to do so.
I have two years experience in working with children at summer sport-camps. I am creative and a hard-worker. I have played sports since I was six years old and now I am a good swimmer and sailor and also enjoy horse-riding and playing basketball in a team. I'm also familiar with the rules and techniques of many other team-sports, atletic disciplines and tennis. I’ve volunteered in summer camps dealing with children between 6 and 12 years old, sometimes inventing new games which make children learn the most important rules of living together by amusing themselves. And most of all I love children and the uncanny way sometimes they see and make you see things.
I dearly hope that you will consider my application.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Yours faithfully,
Xxx
