Determina le soluzioni della seguente disequazione di secondo grado:

[math] ( x^2 + \sqrt2) ? 1/5 x {5 + 5\sqrt2} [/math]

Svolgimento

Portiamo tutti i termini al primo membro, poi moltiplichiamo togliendo le parentesi tonde:

[math] x^2 + \sqrt2 - 1/5 x {5 + 5\sqrt2} ? 0[/math]

[math] x^2 + \sqrt2 - 1/5 x \cdot 5 - 1/5 x \cdot 5\sqrt2 ? 0[/math]

[math] x^2 + \sqrt2 - x - \sqrt2 x ? 0[/math]

Ordiniamo e mettiamo in evidenza la x di primo grado:

[math] x^2 - x - \sqrt2 x + \sqrt2 ? 0[/math]

[math] x^2 - (1 + \sqrt2) x + \sqrt2 ? 0[/math]

Passiamo allequazione associata e troviamo le soluzioni con la formula:

[math] x = frac(- b \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac})(2a) [/math]

[math] x^2 - (1 + \sqrt2) x + \sqrt2 = 0[/math]

[math] x = frac(- [- (1 + \sqrt2)] \sqrt{[- (1 + \sqrt2)]^2 - 4 \cdot \sqrt2})(2) =[/math]

[math] frac( 1 + \sqrt2 \sqrt{ 1 + (\sqrt2)^2 + 2\sqrt2 - 4\sqrt2})(2) =[/math]

[math] frac( 1 + \sqrt2 \sqrt{ 1 + 2 + 2\sqrt2 - 4\sqrt2})(2) =[/math]

Sotto radice, sommiamo soli i termini simili, che moltiplicano

[math] \sqrt2[/math]
; notiamo che in questo modo si former il quadrato di un binomio:

[math] frac( 1 + \sqrt2 \sqrt{ 1 + 2 - 2\sqrt2})(2) =[/math]

[math] frac( 1 + \sqrt2 \sqrt{(\sqrt2 - 1)^2})(2) = frac( 1 + \sqrt2 (\sqrt2 - 1))(2) [/math]

[math] x_1 = frac( 1 + \sqrt2 + {\sqrt2 - 1})(2) = frac( 1 + \sqrt2 + \sqrt2 - 1)(2) =[/math]

[math] frac( 2 \sqrt2){2} = \sqrt2 [/math]

[math] x_2 = frac( 1 + \sqrt2 - {\sqrt2 - 1})(2) = frac( 1 + \sqrt2 - \sqrt2 + 1)(2) =[/math]

[math] frac( 2)(2) = 1 [/math]

Poich la disequazione minore o uguale a zero, prendiamo come soluzioni gli intervalli interni alle radice dellequazione associata:

[math] S : 1 ? x ? \sqrt2 [/math]
