Challenge of internet addiction

Although the use of internet can be seen as positive for teens, their addiction to the same Internet can become a dangerous factor. Unfortunately, most of these teenagers become Internet addicts. An addict in most cases will stay up all night playing games or using a chat room. Some addicted teens even quit school or college as a result. The challenge is how to prevent this from happening. In order to avoid this problem, you can take up other pastimes which will help turn away your mind from the wide world web and other technological gadgets.

Never give out personal information, such as your name,adress and telephone number, do not communicate with strangers online, treat people with respect and dignity, report abusive or offensive web sites to your parents and teachers, protect your username and password, do not share this information, carefully select the web sites you visit, stay away from web sites that promote violence or sexual material, don’t save your logon information, don’t leave the computer unattended with sensitive information on screen, erase your tracks by clearing cookies of your pc regulary, watch out for the shoulder spy and don’t enter sensitive information into a public computer
