Certo, allora prendiamo un altro articolo qui: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/10677712/World-Health-Organisation-advises-halving-sugar-intake.html

Io te la metto giù nel modo in cui io sono abituata a farlo!

This article speaks about the redution of sugar consumption after a news from Dr Francesco Branca, director for nutrition for health and development at the WHO .
Some leading scientists and campaigners said that people have to limit sugar intake to be halved to 5 per cent of an individual’s overall calorie consumption – the equivalent of six “level” teaspoons a day for the average adult, in order to reduce health problems (such as obesity or tooth problems).
Also WHO (The new guidance proposed by the WHO retains the current recommended limit of 10 per cent – around 12 teaspoons of sugar.

However, the WHO (World Health Organisation) states in the draft guidelines that a further reduction to 5 per cent "would have additional benefits" .
The WHO warned that much of the sugars consumed today are “hidden” in processed foods "that are not usually seen as sweets", such as in a can of fizzy drink .
Campaign groups such as Action on Sugar, warns that current levels of sugar intake are “unsustainable” and need to be radically reduced to help tackle obesity and chronic diseases such as diabetes. They're not the only who support this idea, also Dr Aseem Malhotra, Simon Capewell think that sugar could be a big problem, not only for adults, but also for young children, and they're the new generation: they must be save.
The proposals come a day after Dame Sally Davies, the chief medical officer for the UK, said that probably it will be a new tax for sugar, to stop the hight consumption of this dangerous element.
Alison Tedstone, Director of Nutrition and Diet at Public Health England (PHE), the official advisory body, confirms the new idea to reduce the percentage of consumption, by following the new WHO draft guidelines .

Se hai bisogno sono qui, ciao! :))
