Verona: a UNESCO World Heritage City

Verona is a city in Veneto, northern Italy, one of the seven provincial capitals in the region. It is one of the main tourist destinations in north-eastern Italy. The city of Verona has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO for its urban structure and its architecture. You have to see the architectural beauty of Verona, I prefer visiting the churches and especially the impressive Roman monuments. One of the most famous monuments is the Arena and Juliet's house. The Arena of Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historic center of Verona. During the summer months is used for the famous opera festival, where are many artists. Juliet's house is located in the oldest street in Verona. If you visit Verona you will know the famous story of Romeo and Juliet. I prefer “ Juliet’s house “ to “Arena” because it represents the second meaning of this city, that is love.

Culinary Delights of Verona

In honor of the shakespeare's character Juliet, Verona has created typical dessert: "The Kiss of Juliet," a biscuit with nuts and dark chocolate. Other typical foods are "Polenta" and "pearà". You have to try these foods if you go to Verona. Thanks to these foods the city organizes festivals, where all the people of Verona eat and dance.
The territory of Verona is full of attractions linked to the fun. The most famous attraction is located close to Lake Garda but we can also discover others distributed throughout the territory of Verona. The most important park is Gardaland that offers fun for both adults and children.

Personal Experiences and Future Travels

I went to Verona last year with my parents for two weeks, because my aunt lives there. The streets that separate the Arena from the house of Juliet are characteristic and full of luxurious brands. I loved the well taken care parks and nature. One day I remember while I was walking in a park I saw a lake surrounded by thousands of colored flower. It was a show!

In the future I will go to France, because for me it is beautiful. I would rather visit France than visit another city in Italy. I am going to visit the museum of Louvre, the Tour Eiffel, the Disneyland Paris, the Triumphal Arc, etc. But I have to learn the language because otherwise I will find difficult.
