Good communicators

Expressions

  • Face to face = Looking to another person
  • Causing offence = Upsetting or embarrassing someone by being rude or tactless
  • To get away with = Not be caught or punished when you have done something wrong
  • To make things up = Pretend something is true in order to deceive people
  • To keep in touch = Keeping writing or talking to someone, even though you do not see them often
  • Pitching to = Aiming an idea or product at someone

Checking information

Problems with understanding

  • Sorry, I’m not with you.

Asking for more information

Asking for clarification
