The Statue of Liberty

One of the monuments that I like the most is the Statue of Liberty.

Liberty Enlightening the World, or better known as the Statue of Liberty, is a symbol of New York and the United States of America. Designed by Frédéric Barthold on October 28, 1886. The statue is a gift from the people of France to the United States. This statute is 46 meters high. It is a welcome to all those who arrive in the USA, but in the previous century, the statute is was a symbol of welcome and hope.

In the picture there is a woman wearing a long robe, she holds a torch in one hand, symbol of the eternal fire of liberty, while in another hand she holds a book where is written the date of the Independence Day, July 14 1776.At the foot there are broken chains, symbol of the liberation from the power of the despotic ruler. And in the head there is a crown with the 7 points that represent the 7 seas and 7 continents.
