My best friend is Alexander he is 17 years old. I have known him since we were little. Now we both go to high school in the same class. He plays soccer and he is very good at it. He is very tall and skinny. I often go to his house to do homework together.We usually play soccer at his home, but he always wins, or we do our homework and in our free time we also like listening to music, watching tv and on Saturday evenings we go out with other friends to bars or for a pizza.We went to the stadium Olimpico in Rome to see the football match “Rome-Fiorentina”. We had a great time because we sang a lot to support Rome and we had lots of fun, but unfortunately Rome lost the match 1-0. (one nil) We were very sad for the result, so we will go to another match soon hoping that our team will win.
Vacation in Sicily
In Summer we went on holiday together in Sicily for two weeks to a resort called “Torre Alaska”.
It is big and beautiful, there is: a swimming pool, a soccer field and a tennis field and a private beach . We met a lot of boys and girls mostly from Italy but quite a few were English and German, so I had the opportunity to practice my English with them. We played games like: beach volley, soccer, tennis and pin pong. Today , thanks to Facebook I’m still in touch with them and I think that in the future I will probably go to England to see them. We also visited many museums and we ate traditional foods from the local places.
Differences and music
There are some differences between me and him such as, he supports Milan while I support Rome, he likes listening to rock music while I prefer Italian rap because it talks about the problems of the places we live in. There is a famous Roman rapper called Caparezza who won the most important Italian song contest called Festivalbar, who talks about the problems of pollution and of the environment in the Rome and Italian area. Thanks to him we can see lots of videos on TV about this problem so the institutions and journalists must pay more attention to the problems and must do their best to resolve them.
