A Disturbing Legend and a Return to Orange County

Meeting and Marriage

Roxie was a pretty girl with long and blond hair and blue eyes. She lived in Orange Country, a little town in California. When she was studying at the university, she met George. He was a tall boy with big brown eyes. When they met, George had already finished his studies and he was working as an engineer.
Two years later, George asked her if she wanted to marry him, and she answered that she wanted to pass with him the rest of her life. Two years after their wedding, they moved to Chicago and bought an old big house to live in. The garden around the house was very big and there was also a small wood.

The Legend of Rose

In Chicago, Roxie and George met a couple, Emily and Richard. They became friends and started to spend time together. One day, Roxie and George invited their friends to their house for dinner. During the dinner conversation, Richard and Emily told a sinister legend.

This legend told about a pretty girl. Her name was Rose and fifty years ago she used to live in the house where Roxie and Richard were living. She loved playing with dolls and, on the day of her 12th birthday, her dad presented to Rose a doll wearing a dark dress. Rose didn’ t like the doll and threw it away. The day after, her mother found the child died in the wood, near to the doll, wearing the same dark dress.

The legend says that every year, on the 13th December, Rose’s ghost in dark dress appears in the house and starts playing with dolls.

Return to Orange County

Roxie and George got scared very much, and decided to sell the old house and move again to Orange Country. A multinational bought the house, and built a big factory of dolls inside.

In Orange Country Roxie and Richard lived very happy. One year later, they had a girl, who named Rose.
