What happens during the Meeting with the Witches?

Macbeth and Banquo, generals in the service of Ducan , King of Scotland, on their way back hom after a victorious battle, are hailed by three witches who prophesy that Macbeth will become Thame of Cawdor and then king of Scotland,
Banquo, instead will be the father of a dynasty of kings. Soon after, Macbeth is informed that the king has appointed him "Thame of Cawdor". Playing in her husband's ambition , Lady Macbeth convinces him to murder the king with her help while he is staying as a guest in their castle. Malcolm and Donalbain Ducan's sons, are compelled to escape to England.

Kingdom of Macbeth and Torments

Macbeth became king, but finds no peace : he is worried about the second part of the prophecy so he plans to kill Banquo and his son Fleance. But unfortunately Fleance survives the attempted murder.

Macbeth is haunted by Banquo's ghost so he decided to visit the three witches again. They warn him to beware of Macduff , a noble ho has fled to England , but, at the same time they reassure him as he will never be defeated by any man of woman born and he will be king untill the Birnam Wood moves towards his castle. Macbeth orders his soldiers to kill Macduff 's wife and children. In the meantime Lady Macbeth is oppressed by her great sense of guilt and she became insane and commits suicide.

Macduff and Malcom are marching against Macbeth , their soldiers conceal themselves with the branches from the trees of Birnam Wood, Macduff and Macbeth fight in a duel, Macbeth is killed soon after he learns that Macduff was born by Caesarian section. Macbeth's head is brought to Malcolm who is crowned king of Scotland.
