a. Poverty and social class
Poverty is a prominent concern in Oliver Twist. Dickens enlarges on this theme, describing slums so decrepit that whole rows of houses are on the point of ruin.
This ubiquitous misery makes Oliver's few encounters with charity and love more poignant. The apparent plague of poverty that Dickens describes also conveyed to his middle-class readers how much of the London population was stricken with poverty and disease. In Oliver Twist he also delivers a mixed message about social caste and social injustice.

b. In Oliver Twist, Dickens mixes grim realism, and merciless satire as a way to describe the effects of industrialism on 19th-century England and to criticise the harsh new Poor Laws.

OSCAR WILDE
a. the picture represents the real nature of Dorian, the picture is getting older and older, but he remains young, that is because he made a pact with the devil, so in this way he compromised his moral

b. Aestheticism is a strong motif and is tied in with the concept of the double life. A major theme is that aestheticism is merely an absurd abstract that only serves to disillusion rather than dignify the concept of beauty. Although Dorian is hedonistic, when Basil accuses him of making Lord Henry's sister's name a "by-word," Dorian replies "Take care, Basil. You go too far" suggesting Dorian still cares about his outward image and standing within Victorian society. Wilde highlights Dorian's pleasure of living a double life, Not only does Dorian enjoy this sensation in private, but he also feels "keenly the terrible pleasure of a double life" when attending a society gathering just 24 hours after committing a murder.

the picture of Dorian GRay is an excellent masterpiece of the english literature and a celebration of the cult of beauty. the concept of Life for Wilde, is an excellent piece of art. Wilde transforms the principle that says that art imites life in the form "life imitates art". so the Life is the result of the art.

c.i think that this aesthetic experience doesn't appear always right. the phrase "Life as Art" shows on one hand the research of the pleasure (= edonism), and on the other hand a style of life without fear and "disinibito" that conduces to the end of the moral identity and, in the case of Dorian, to commit a crime.
